Plastic Man, also known as Eel O'Brian, is a DC Comics superhero. He first appeared in Police Comics #1 in August 1941, published by Quality Comics and later acquired by DC Comics.

O'Brian was originally a common crook who, during a chemical plant heist, was doused with an unknown chemical compound and subsequently shot. Abandoned by his gang, he awoke to discover he could stretch, bend, and reshape his body into almost anything.

Renouncing his criminal past, O'Brian became Plastic Man, using his newfound abilities to fight crime. He is known for his rubbery powers, comedic personality, and often outlandish disguises.
